Transfer RI

The Rhode Island Association of Admission Officers is committed to post-secondary access for both first year and transfer/adult students. All eleven of our member institutions welcome transfer applicants, and offer knowledgeable professionals to assist students and counselors through the nuances of transferring. We also encourage transfer applicants to apply for our RIAAO Scholarship.

Information for Rhode Island Transfers:

Rhode Island Transfers: https://www.ritransfers.org/

Information on this site aids in the efficient facilitation of transfer among the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), Rhode Island College (RIC) and the University of Rhode Island (URI).  The material included on this site is based upon the policy of the Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner (RIOPC) for articulation/transfer and on the agreements developed among academic department chairs, or their representatives, from the three institutions.

Rhode Island Guarantee: https://nebhe.org/policy-research/key-initiatives/transfer-initiatives/the-guarantee/ri-guarantee/

Rhode Island College Transfer Guarantee (Rhode Island Guarantee) is a statewide effort to establish systematic transfer pathways between Rhode Island’s community colleges and four-year independent institutions.

Joint Admissions Agreement: https://www.ritransfers.org/joint-admissions-agreement/

The JAA is a program designed to provide a clear pathway for students to complete an Associate degree in Arts and transfer to either Rhode Island College (RIC) or the University of Rhode Island (URI).

Providence College Guaranteed Admission and Tuition Agreement (GATA)https://continuing-education.providence.edu/gata-guaranteed-admission-and-tuition-agreement-ccri/.

The Guaranteed Admission and Tuition Agreement (GATA) program unlocks many benefits for students currently enrolled at Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI). The GATA program makes it convenient to transfer and enroll in a PC bachelor’s degree program upon graduation from CCRI, and it reduces the cost of a PC degree to well below the tuition of a state school.
